Privacy policy for Aqua Air

Effective 29 October 2026 · Publisher: Truong Nguyen

1. Information on your device

Aqua Air is an offline aquarium-care journal published by Truong Nguyen. It does not require an account. Tank names, descriptions, dimensions and filter details, care history and notes, water-test results and custom parameter names/units, selected photos, schedules, reminder settings, language preferences and water rates are stored in the app’s storage on your device.

The app has no advertising, behavioral tracking, analytics service or remote account/backend service. It does not send your aquarium records or photos to the publisher and does not sell them. Photos you select or take are copied into local app storage for display and backup.

2. Optional access and reminders

Camera: used only when you choose to take a tank photo. Photo selection: the system picker gives the app access to the images you choose; Aqua Air does not require access to your whole photo library. Notifications: optional reminders scheduled locally on your device. They may show tank names and activities on your lock screen depending on your phone settings.

You can use the journal without enabling these optional features and manage permissions in your device settings. The app does not request microphone, location, contacts or tracking access. System services, store installation, device diagnostics and operating-system backups are also governed by your platform provider’s policies and settings.

3. Backups and sharing

You can export an .aquaair backup containing records, settings and optionally photos. Aqua Air does not encrypt these files. Their integrity checks help detect corruption; they are not encryption or access control. Keep exported copies private.

When you choose a destination in the system share or file sheet, the file goes to that destination. The recipient or storage service handles it under its own terms. Aqua Air does not independently upload backups to a publisher-hosted service.

Your operating system may also back up app data according to your device and cloud-account settings. Those backups may leave your device through the services you have enabled.

4. Retention and deletion

App data remains locally until you remove it or the app/device storage is removed. You can delete individual records or tanks, or use Settings → Delete all data to clear the journal and app-managed photos and recovery files. Uninstalling and restoring app data also depend on the operating system.

Exported files, copies held by recipients and operating-system/cloud backups must be managed separately. The publisher cannot access or erase your local journal or those copies remotely.

5. Support and this website

If you email support, you provide your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. That correspondence is used to answer your request and troubleshoot the app. The support mailbox is hosted by Microsoft; your email provider and Microsoft process messages under their own policies. Support correspondence is retained only as needed to handle your request and meet applicable obligations. You may request deletion by emailing the contact below.

Please avoid sending a full backup or private photos unless they are needed and you choose to share them. This static website contains no analytics scripts, advertising, forms or nonessential cookies. Its hosting service may process basic request information, such as IP address and browser information, to deliver and secure the pages.
